I don't see him going anywhere that is not 100% his choice. The alums I know still love the guy even with his faults. Hell, look how long Coop stayed in Columbus and he never even shared a national championship.

Well, considering Michigan NEVER loses 3 games in a season, they'll have a hard time firing a guy who goes at least 9-2 every year

In all seriousness, no. It's far too much of a pain in the ass for a major college program to find a suitable new coach to can Carr, at least yet. If they still suck and underachieve after 2007, then it is 10 years after his title, and then maybe they'll look into it more, but for now, he's not going anywhere unless he wants to.

Exactly. That man is very well regarded among their alumni (outside of football fanboys). He has free reign up there, and isn't going anywhere. Like was said before, look how long Coop lasted here with an atrocious record against scUM. A National Title (even shared) buys you A LOT of rope. Barring health reasons (God forbid, as a human being) LLLLoyd isn't going anywhere.

He'll be around for the next couple of years as a minimum, but if Tressel beats him next two years (making Carr 1-3 at the Pig House against Tressel along with 0-3 at The Shoe), I think he'll be asked to resign.

Lloyd stays as long as Bo is still there. Once Lloyd loses his buffer though, all bets are off. I suspect Herrmann's job probably depends on the result of the bowl game though; he'd be the sacraficial lamb to appease the natives.

I agree with Mililani...

Llloyd use to have 3 "L"s because of his teams 3 annual losses. This year, with the 4 losses AND the 4th loss to Tressel; there will be enough confusion about the meaning that next year the name will change again. In '06, he will become Llllloyd.

As Mililani said, it won't be until '07 that he will become unempLLLLLLoyd.
