The michigan team catcher is very good. Framing pitches all over the place getting the ump in his pocket. Pitcher has pretty good control too

The boys from Lake Mary, Florida walked it off against Chinese Taipei in extra innings to win the Little League World Series, 2-1, in thrilling fashion on Sunday night.
A Florida team was 0-8 in LLWS title games all-time, but Lake Mary had been fighting tooth and nail throughout this series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, facing four elimination games just to reach the final against the squad from Taoyuan, Taiwan – a squad that didn't lose any of the five games they've played since hitting the States.
After Lathan Norton finished his 3.2 innings with a scare, as Taoyuan's Hu Yen-Chun flew out to the warning track in the top of the eighth inning, he went to second base to begin the bottom of the eighth in a 1-1 game.
The last hitter in Lake Mary's lineup, Hunter Alexander, came up in a clear bunt scenario, where he was only thinking about moving Norton over to third base.
But Taoyuan, perhaps the team with the best fundamentals in the tournament, didn't have someone covering first base when Alexander laid down his bunt to the right side.
The ball was thrown away, and Lake Mary celebrated immediately as Norton came around third base for the winning run.

Hamilton West Side (Ohio) tops Kentucky, reaches Little League World Series
The Hamilton West Side Little League baseball team has reached the Little League World Series for the first time since 2021 after defeating Kentucky's North Oldham, 6-0, in Whitestown, Indiana, in the Great Lakes region championship game on ESPN2.
The 2026 Little League World Series begins on Wednesday, Aug. 19, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. As the Great Lakes region winner, West Side will face the yet-to-be-determined Mountain Region champion on Aug. 20 at 2 p.m.
West Side starter Boone Treadway, the son of Badin head coach Brion Treadway, pitched a one-hit, complete-game shutout. He threw 62 pitches, and struck out nine.
"Feels amazing," Treadway told ESPN after the game. "I'm just glad to get to do it with this group of kids."
Josiah Infante hit a two-run homer during West Side's six-run first inning.
West Side is a 23-time Ohio state champion making its sixth LLWS appearance. The team also made LLWS appearances in 1991, 1993, 2007 and 2010.
In 2021, West Side advanced to the LLWS final before losing to Michigan.
West Side and North Oldham met twice in the Great Lakes regional. West Side won the first meeting, 11-4.
West Side cruised past Michigan and Indiana in the first two rounds of the tournament.

Hamilton Ohio is winning their way through the losers bracket. They just beat Alabama and are now 4-1. They play Iowa (2-1) tomorrow night and the winner of that game plays Nevada (3-0) Saturday for the US Championship. The World Championship Game is Sunday.

The Final Games: The final matchups (such as the U.S. and International championship games or the overall World Series title game) are single-elimination, winner-take-all games. Keep in mind that Ohio's one loss was to Nevada 5-6 in the opening round.

Hamilton's ace pitcher Boone Treadway had five dominant innings against Japan. He pitched 5.1 shutout innings, striking out five before hitting the pitch limit. Offensively, Hamilton took control of the game first. Though Japan held West Side scoreless for three innings, the dam broke in the fourth. Xander Kinkade delivered a well-placed ball in right field for a two RBI double, scoring both Josiah Infante and Bob Frazier.
Japan's bats came alive in the final frame. The International runners-up had only recorded three hits in the first five innings, but secured four in the bottom of the sixth to win the game.
West Side's long journey began over a month prior at the Ohio state tournament. Hamilton won its record 26th state title on July 24th, defeating Canfield 4-3. The champions of Ohio then steamrolled through the Great Lakes Regional Tournament, winning the tournament on Aug. 12 after racking up a 38-8 margin of victory in four games. The championship granted West Side its sixth trip to the Little League World Series, a world record.
