Does anyone know of a good limo service company in the Akron area that doesn't require a three hour minimum? I've called about 5 places and all of them ask for at least three hours of payment. I only need the limo for a transfer from the church to the reception hall....there is no time for cruising and I'll be damned before I pay for 3 hours of service for a 30-45 minute transfer.

Who says you need a limo? I'd willingly escort you in my Toyota Corolla for a minimal charge.

We're trying to get a limo for the whole wedding party (the Lincoln Navigator Stretch looks really nice). However, if this does not work out, I've found a place where I can rent a 1955 Rolls Royce to take just the two us.

Just take it for three hours...then have the limo pick up the bride to be (and her entourage, if you want) from home and take her to the church. Then the limo takes everyone from the church to the reception, and then you give the limo driver a nice slap on the ass for a job well done.

When is the Wedding? If it is early afternoon, you might be able to broker a deal with the limo company (this assumes your wedding isn't during "wedding season"... if it is wedding season, somebody elso will pay and you'll be out of luck). Also might consider a horse and buggy (no clue what the price or min. hours are, just offering another option).

If you are deadset on a limo, have the limo pick the bride and her tribe. After they are dropped off at the church, have the limo pick up you and your crew and drop the guys off at the church. Then after the service have the limo take you all to the reception (do it in a couple of trips if need be, who cares if some folks have to wait a few extra min... heck have the limo drive you and your new wife around the block, and take you back to the church to finish pictures. Take the group pic's first, and then have the guys and gals taken to the reception while you and your wife have your pic's taken... by the time you are done with that the limo should be back to pick you two up and take you both to the reception... at that point three hours will have passed and the limo can leave... just make sure somebody can take you to the hotel that night).

If you don't want to spend the money, ask one of your parents good friends (who has a really nice car) if you can borrow their car to take you from the church to the reception... they can pick the car up there... (they would drive your car to the reception, so you have a car to get to the hotel)... that's whay we did and it worked just fine (I'm cheap and refused to pay for a limo :wink2: ... as it was the whole production was over the top as far as I'm concerned.... several years later my wife finally agree's with me, granted my "we could have bought this with the money we spent on the wedding" opened her eyes after the fact. Before the wedding it was "her day... and it will be how she has dreamed it should be :bonk: ...")
