LifeSurge and Pablo Torre story

Can somebody explain what the Pablo Torre investigation is about, and why JJ's and TSC's appearance is a being talked about?

I don't get why this is a big deal?
The investigation is looking at a group called Life Surge which is a Christian "wealth training" group. They hold seminars around the country and use celebrities to speak and endorse them. The are accused of using high pressure sales techniques to sell sketchy "wealth creation" training courses and materials. Tim Tebow was a prominent backer of them but has backed away since the investigation began.
As for the OSU players, they aren't accused of doing anything wrong. When Life Surge held a seminar at OSU, JJ, TSC, Caleb Downs, Herbstreit and Urban all appeared and spoke. Apparently Urban helped secure the facility that was used. OSU has already said that none of those guys did anything wrong or broke any rules. More than anything, it's just kind of a "bad look" situation.

Yeah, I read about it, and didn't find anything either. That Pablo Torre is apparently a well known investigator, but this looks lame, and calls into question his integrity.

I guess he needs clicks.

I mean the players maybe not but Urban and Tebow probably
Tebow left the organization, and I doubt that Urban did based on a one time thing.

Down here in Tampa, there seems like a new billboard every month for a Christian men's fellowship type of thing.

It seems like it would be difficult to know if the money was being used improperly, unless you are one of the principals in the organization.

Tressel for example has been involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes going all the back to his YSU days.

Tebow has been very religious his whole life.

I still don't see the big deal.
