Les Miles (grass eater)

Crazy indeed. But he has at least made KU football entertaining again..... ignore the onfield product, something that it has been lacking for the 10 years I've been in Lawrence since moving away from Columbus. I need to plan a road trip to the Shoe.

Kansas Jayhawks place football coach Les Miles on administrative leave

Kansas has placed head football coach Les Miles on administrative leave, announcing the decision after a 2013 internal investigation into his conduct while at LSU was released this week.

In a statement Friday night, Jayhawks athletic director Jeff Long said the university is reviewing this week's reports into Miles' conduct while he was head coach at LSU.

"Even though the allegations against him occurred at LSU, we take these matters very seriously at KU," Long said in a statement. "Now that we have access to this information, we will take the coming days to fully review the material and to see if any additional information is available. I do not want to speculate on a timeline for our review because it is imperative we do our due diligence."

Dude's gone 3-18 (1-16) at Kansas and has a huge contract...he's done. They're relieved this is coming up.

Here’s what coach Les Miles’ contract says about whether KU can fire him for cause

If Kansas Athletics wishes to fire Miles “for cause,” though — a route that would allow the department to get out of his five-year contract without paying him more than $8 million — it appears the department could face at least some challenges based on the wording of Miles’ contract.

Just sayin': I'll predict that if Miles is fired even with a bad lawyer he will win a lawsuit for the $8M:

1. All this happened before he signed the Kansas contract and it was at another school.

2. The contract language is ambiguous.

3. It's all "he said, she said", Miles hasn't been proven guilty of anything by the NCAA or in a court of law. Hell, I'm still pissed that Jim O'Brien won the lawsuit against Ohio State (basically on a technicality) because he was fired before the NCAA actually formally charged Ohio State with the violations.

O'Brien fired for alleged NCAA violations

Ohio State ordered to pay O'Brien $2.4 million for wrongful firing

The bottom line is that Kansas should have done their "due diligence" on investigating him before offering him a contract, i.e. never hired in in the first place.
