Can't get the links to come up but Miles spoke to the LSU Gridiron Club today and said tomorrow will be his last game at LSU.

LSU coach Les Miles didn't come out and say it but let the Tiger Gridiron Club know Friday that Saturday's game against Texas A&M will be his last, two sources who attended the group's luncheon said.

"He didn't use those words but he made it clear that Saturday is his last game," one Gridiron club member said. Miles regularly speaks to the club at lunch on Fridays before all home games.

"He said, 'We're a second family to him and he's going to miss us, he appreciates his real friends, and then he told us good-bye,'" the source said. "It was very emotional but in control."

Miles reportedly left to a standing ovation.

LSU hopeful to have Les Miles' successor as early as next week?

There's also a confidence among boosters and officials, though, Chris Landry said, that a new hire could be determined as early as next week.

In which case you would think they already have a deal with somebody already lined up.

i can't be the only outsider absolutely furious with wtf is going on here. i genuinely feel awful for him..he's an excellent coach forced out by people that don't know football, statistics or how the fucking world works. such garbage man.
They will get theirs, he will get 15 million in his buyout and he can go where he is wanted. I don't feel too bad for him, I understand why they want a change and he will have a job next year if he wants one,

for those of you keeping score

he told booster club he's out
he did not tell them that.

had an unscheduled meeting with players saying it's over
meeting was regular scheduled and he didn't tell them anything

deal with Jimbo is already done.
Chip Kelly interviewing tomorrow
Herman next week
Vince Lombardi will be hired before bowl game.

this has become a fucking circus.

Les has been a great ambassador for this school and has really made himself a part of the community. He has handled himself with class since day 1 here.
regardless of coaching change he doesn't deserve to go out like this.

yes^^^

i guess I'm pissed just in the sense that he clearly wants to coach there and has passed on every opportunity to leave..its never been about the money..then he loses 3 damn games and these dipshit children lose their minds. i hope they tank and they don't win a game for a goddamn decade for the bullshit they're pulling right now. everyone associated with the program should be ashamed for having such a dysfunctional brain and no nutsack to stand up and say something for how this is being handled.

it's a fucking shitshow and not how people deserve to be treated..especially the one fucking individual responsible for all of you not killing yourselves over the last 10 years.

Les has always put his team and players first and always treated LSU more like a family than a job.

I don't ever recall him throwing his players under the bus. Even when guys were suspended, he never came out said they were or why (even though they didn't dress out for games).

Assistant coaches always "found other jobs" rather than being "fired".

Has the game passed him by? Could LSU use a breathe of fresh air?
probably.

but not like this.

this is no way to treat a man who twice turned down his dream job to stay here. a man whose entire family now considers Baton Rouge "home".

whatever happens next for Miles, I wish him the best of luck.
