Pretty sure less than 300 of those yards are return yards, so he's still doing pretty well. Like I said, he hasn't lived up to pre-draft hype, but I strongly disagree with him being a bust. It's not like the guy hasn't produced. He was good when he was able to do what the Saints wanted to do with him. Last year Deuce got injured and they had to keep him as a RB for the most part. His production and their offense definitely suffered.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. :tongue2:

2,533 yards in two seasons works out to just over 1,250 yards/season. That's not too impressive when you take into account that that includes return yards. I'd imagine that there are many NFL players (who weren't #2 overall picks, mind you) that have put up 1,250 yards/season over the last two years
.

Then what is Ted Ginn?

Here's what I see, I see a guy who can burn you on any given play. A guy who in one season turned the Saints from a bottom feeder to one of the best in the NFL, a team that was in the Super Bowl hunt until late in the second half. I see a guy who forces the dbs to position themselves differently, forcing the defense to respond to him, i.e. just why you'd spend a top pick on him. Too bad they couldn't find a way to use Pittman as their RB and let Bush play in the slot.

As a human being, Reggie struck me as a total dick, but as a college football player they don't come much better or exciting. As a pro I see no need for him to back up to the pay window just yet.

Well, when your best two QBs get drafted by the two worst francises in NFL history, it's hard to fault the QBs.

It's one thing if you win the starters job and win when you're expected too.....Matt Leinart can't even beat out Kurt Warner and his fumbling problem.....

Am I missing something? Bush had an incredible rookie year did he not? The Saints look to be in the thick of things again this year, certainly more promising than the Bengals or Browns.

And in the mean time, keeping with the threads theme, Fuck you, Len-Dale.

Bush is certainly not the next Jim Brown as they said he was. Nor is he the #1 back in the league.

He had a whopping 581 yards and 4 TDs. Eight of his twelve games, he was less than 3.5 yards per carry, and he never broke over 100 yards a game all season last year. B-U-S-T in the making.

As for LenDale, what shit hole did this guy crawl out of? I hope Donnie Nickey cracks his ass at practice!

(2007 NFL) White + Bush + Leinhart = 15 TD's

Yeah the injury to Duece McAllister showed that Reggie Bush couldn't quite handle the entire load last year....

Again, I don't think that was the plan for Reggie.. they knew when they drafted him that he's better in open space. They'd be idiots to expect him to carry a full load at RB in his second year, especially after he did something completely different in his first year.

At the end of his career I don't think you will be able to classify Reggie Bush as a bust, or as a hall of famer. After all is said and done he will end up having a reasonably productive career much like hundreds of players before him who have become somewhat of afterthoughts in the history of the NFL. Nobody could have lived up to the hype he had when he came out, but as of yet he has not lived up to the expectations of NFL scouts who make their living evaluating talent. Only time will tell if he can meet these expectations.

The only other thing I will say is that I have to disagree with the thought that Reggie Bush was the reason for the Saints success two years ago, I think the biggest part of that credit goes to Sean Payton and also the acqusition of Drew Brees. Don't forget that Bush struggled mightily his first 10 to 12 games in the League but the team was succeding anyway. Once Bush started to get a feel for the Pro game it made them that much better and took them to the NFC Championship game. But putting the credit for that season on Bush is far from the truth.

If you're referring to my comments here, that's not what I intended to say. I actually don't think I said he was the reason for success. I said that he succeeded when they were able to use him in open-space, not as a feature back. There were certainly other factors, that's just one of them. A big factor IMO, but not the only factor. Sorry for the misunderstanding (if you're referring to my comments).

I thought this thread was about that fat fuck Lendale White not Reggie Bush?

That's BP for you. We're versatile. The discussion about Len-Dale seemed to reach the conclusion that he was, and is, a fat fuck. Once we reached that conclusion the only thing left to do was to discuss Reggie Bush. Thanks for the thread.

LenDale White makes weight by giving up tequila.

Tennessee's LenDale White's weight-loss secret: Stop swilling tequila - NFL - SI.com

White's weight-loss secret: Stop swilling tequila

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Not Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig or Nutrisystem. Forget about hiring a private chef to cook healthy meals.
LenDale White lost more than 30 pounds this offseason and is in his fourth training camp with the Tennessee Titans at his slimmest weight since high school. The running back admits he wishes he understood earlier in his career the importance of being in shape.
Just how did he lose the weight? White gave up tequila.
"I really got to be honest," White said. "It wasn't a lot of major diet changes. (It was) watching what I drink. I was a big Patron consumer. ... That's what it was. I was drinking a lot, drank a lot of alcohol. I cut that out of my diet all the way. I don't drink at all. I cut the drinking, I stopped drinking for six months.

Bart Scott is favorite NFL player now.

So Bart Scott went on the Dan Patrick Show and continued to be the most badass [censored] on the Jets D. You can click here for the audio, but I’ll cut right to the highlights of when he took a [censored] all over that dumpster LenDale White again:
Bart Scott: “The Titans aren’t a big fan of me as well. Last year, LenDale White said the person he hated the most in the NFL was Bart Scott, so, it kinda hurt my feelings and I’m trying to get back in the circle of trust, but, I don’t think he’ll be too happy to see me anyway.”

Dan Patrick: “Why does LenDale White hate you?”
Bart Scott: “I think last year before a game, you know, the Smash and Dash, Thunder and Lightning, and I called him Fat Boy.”

His exact quote last year when they asked him to give his own nickname to the Titans RB duo of Chris Johnson and White, was: “Let’s see: a fat guy and the fastest guy in the 40,” Scott said of White and
Chris Johnson. “Not fat. I’m sorry. Plump.”

Margaritas are the most caloric drink going...

Because gringos have no taste and dump tons of mix and sugar into them. Quality tequila, fresh squeezed lime juice, cointreau, a bit of simple syrup if you must, shake and serve over ice. This country butchers Mexican food and drink. I'm guessing Fat Ass falls into the category that enjoys his mararitas with plenty of mix from a plastic bottle.
