Put the trip wire inside your property. You can't claim self defense if they've not breached your perimeter. You want to clear the field of fire of brush, trash cans, ladders, lawn mowers, patio furniture etc.
Be sure and get your body count ASAP as they try and pull their dead and wounded off the battle site to deny you any collateral PSYOPS material.
Prior to all this: Cut an oil drum in half, place beneath your commode for a week or two, occasionally covering fecal matter with lime. Pull drum out into yard, splash with a half gallon of diesel and set on fire, break out a box of c-rats, ice down a case of bom-de-bom and give me a call. Haven't been on a good ambush in damn near forty years.

Anyway, a corner of my backyard is adjacent to a street, kids keep climbing my fence to get into our neighborhood (no dorect access from the development behind us. In climbing they keep breaking the tops off of the fence boards. Could I be sued for using a little well placed barbed wire?? I am getting pissed about restaining and replacing boards.
