Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

The goddamn Jiri Welsch trade is also to blame. I've felt that the Cavs have always suffered from a lack of ability to get a second impact player in the draft to pair with LeBron. The Cavs lost valuable high picks in that awful trade, and by the time they were back in the first round again LeBron had made the team good enough on his own that they were out of the lottery and picking late in the first round.

Great memory. I had forgotten about that trade. Definitely was costly

Sonny Vaccaro said LeBron James will leave the Cleveland Cavaliers - ESPN Chicago

If Lebron is close to that sleezeball, that tells you just about all you need to know about what kind of person the "king" really is as opposed to who we think he is/want him to be.
:slappy:

So your point is if you are friends with a sleezeball, you are immediately just as much of a bad person as said sleezeball, and in fact, probably worse. So for example, Pryor, who has said he looks up to Vick, is a dog-fighting, animal-rights-violating asshole.

Big difference is that the Sonics actually won something. LeBust hasn't won anything other than in his own mind.

agreed, just thought the quote was pretty funny. Sign and trade here we come.. think anyone would give up the next 5 years worth of unprotected 1st round picks?

You can't just blame Lebron, yeah sure he had a HORRIBLE game 5...look at Game 6. Other than him and Mo, we had NOBODY. Look at the rest of the team, but more importantly the coach. Mike Brown is a terrible coach and he needs to go NOW.

He should have been gone after last year. Why they kept him is beyond me. That's where Lebron needs to be a leader. He needed to walk into Ferry's office and said, "Get rid of this clown"

and the rumors already swirling....

LeBron to the Bulls? 3 GMs think so - TrueHoop Blog - ESPN

Sign and trade with Chicago bringing Luol Deng to Cleveland and receiving his expiring contract.

I don't believe it though. I'm not sure what protections you can get on a sign and trade, but to believe the Cavs would get LeBrons signature on a contract and then trade him away isn't a viable option to me. It's boom or bust.

If he's to be believed, Chad Ford has already had contact with 3 GM's who all think LeBron is Chicago bound with John Calipari.

To come out and already have what seems to me to be a 'designed quote' just disgusts me.

'My team and I have a plan that we plan to execute', really? So throughout this, you've just ignored anyone outside of yourself in order to develop a "plan" for your own free agency? Congrats, too bad you're plan had nothing to do with winning since you handcuffed this organization.

I just don't get why it requires this much thought. It's your free agency. That's it. Not some elaborate war strategy. Make a fucking decision.

Selfish.

Fuck.

No clue what to think.

That could be interesting. I keep telling people Chicago is a lot closer than they think. People just assume if he leaves it is off to NYC.
