Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

First the good

First, the Good:

Lebrons charity just gave out a ton of laptops to kids in thee AK. Seems a good number of kids received computers because I had several co-workers comment on how their kids were apart of the program.

And he donated to my old stomping grounds.
Sadly, I was kicked out of the earlier version of this program when I was around 8 years old for fighting. :( Then again, I like to think I taught the victim, i meant fellow student, important life lessons. :)

Then, well, ummm:
Big Spender! got change for a 100 (in chris rock voice)?

No .. no sharks, wife attacks or jellyfish... but stop me if you've heard this before... LeChoke surrounded by superstars... Loses

LeBron, Carmelo, Paul fall short to Team Philly in 'Battle of I-95'
LeBron James had the superstar teammates with him and the crowd against him.
September felt like June all over again, especially when another Big Three came up short.
James, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul couldn't lead their team back from a dreadful start, as Team Philly beat Melo's stars of Baltimore 131-122 on Sunday night at the Palestra.
Just like when the Miami team led by James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh was knocked off by Dallas in the NBA finals, the bigger names didn't click in time to get the victory many expected.

It seems like whenever you turn around, another NBA superstar is headed to another far flung land to play out the remainder of the league's lockout. Not LeBron James. He's staying stateside, though he is keeping in shape. How, you ask? By showing up at football practice at his alma mater, Akron (Ohio) St. Vincent-St. Mary High.

the comments posted have some funny ones. I found it funny they wouldn't let the other plays tackle him. Someone that always has claimed to be a football player at heart should allow it (though I am sure it's more of a contractual thing with the Heat).

I see LeBron has made a few comments about playing in the NFL during the lockout. While i'm aware it's just 'talk' and won't happen. I was curious, is he even allowed to to join with a team? Don't you have to apply for the draft?

And would Goodell make him serve a suspension for all the illegal bennies he took at SVSM?

:slappy: Funniest thing ever. Dude whines like a bitch when he gets touched by as hair follicle on the court (or, as we remember in the playoffs, even when he doesn't get touched at all)...WTF would he do when someone was actually hitting him for real?
