Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

My point is; the Cavs abandoned this strategy back in July when they felt all they would do is piss off James, and he would just go elsewhere. As far fetched as it sounds, could they have gotten the word, that things somehow have changed? About the same time, the Heat are offering Bosh for Melo, who
plays the same position as Lebron.

I think the deal is he didnt want Stern and the NBA doing the investigation and brushing everything under the rug because they want to protect their infant.... So he hired these guys to build a case and they can dump it in Sterns lap and say here do your investigation and by the way here is your evidence and by the way this is going public if nothing is done.

even the president is weighing in

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1210/45875.html

President Obama has some advice to LeBron James: Watch your back.
Obama ? literally running into a group of reporters just outside the Oval Office earlier Thursday ? stopped to show off his semi-surgically repaired lip and field a few good-natured questions. The one that really got his attention:
What did he think of James?s soap-opera return to Cleveland for the first time since defecting to the Miami Heat from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
?It?s going to be brutal,? Obama said, shaking his head, as Vice President Joe Biden looked on.

Personally, I think this is the best approach right now for something like this. I would imagine you'll start seeing this with the NCAA too considering they are a joke of an investigating organization.

Do all the leg work, and give it to the people with the power to do something - this way they HAVE to do something or else the critisism will be moreso on them.

Class with a capital K.....

If Cleveland fans do this it will prove the rest of the country right about Cleveland.

You want to make a statement, when he is introduced.... silence.... pure silence....

When he makes a basket... silence...

Much more of a statement than a [censored]balloon or trash...

Here is the problem with trying to be classy. Cleveland sports fans are a wounded animal backed into a corner. It has all this pent up frustration that is trying to be released. And that is just the sports aspect. The real world stuff that Cleveland deals with, dying city, businesses leaving, high unemplyment, horrible schools and city government that is a joke nationally.

A pyschotherapist could have a field day writing papers about all of this. Sports is a release for ALOT of people, but the problem is it has been all negative, LeBron was seen as the most recent chance to purge that negative emotions.

which is why i think cleveland is going to do something...the media and everyone in the country is going to watch this game tonight because they are HOPING for some WCW type shit to happen...if it doesnt they will be extremely dissapointed...do you think cleveland and its stellar reputation is going to let the world down now? hell no...if something doesnt happen by the fourth quarter when everyone is good and drunk then someone will do something after the game...i mean a cleveland fan just tackled a 8 year old for wearing a jets jersey for christ sakes....this is clevelands one night to shine in front of the rest of the world and i dont think we will let them down...fuck the reputation...cleveland hasnt had a good rep since before anyone on this board was born and beyond...why start trying to act with class now when clevelands biggest villian since art modell is in a boxed in arena in front of 20,000 fans who all hate him

I agree... this city in general needs to let loose and really explode (unfortunately) it needs a catharsis and this is the perfect formula. I wish it won't happen, but I am afraid of the worst.

HERE is my prediction. IF the Cavs are in the game and seems like they have a chance to win the crowd will behave (relatively) because they can focus their energy on trying to will the Cavs to a victory. BUT, Miami BETTER not blow the Cavs out. It should happen, Miami is the much better team. But it would be bring out the absolute worst of this situation.

Imagine this scenario... 2nd quarter and the Heat are running and dunking and up by 20. How quickly will the fans turn ugly?

Thank god I am not going to this game... While I would go in with the best intentions, the emotions of this night might make people do things that they weren't planning on doing.

Cowherd, most of all, is praying something bad happens so he can continue to rip Ohio/Cleveland.
