LB Justin Hilliard (2020 B1G Champ Def POG)

“This whole journey, man, it’s been tough but it’s been such a blessing at the same time,” Hilliard said after the 22-10 win over Northwestern. “Earlier this week I was able to talk to the younger guys at Senior Tackle and that was just so emotional for me. The journey I’ve been on and the guys that have been here with me, to stick with me, and push me through some of those tougher times … I knew I had to step up in a bigger role.

LB Justin Hilliard

Justin Hilliard picked a massive game to have the best performance of his six-year Ohio State career. The former five-star prospect has battled through injuries and hardships during his time as a Buckeyes linebacker, but the wait to break out is finally over. Hilliard had a huge interception to keep the Wildcats out of the end zone in the third quarter. He had a pair of tackles for loss and recovered a fumble he helped force. While Baron Browning was unavailable, Hilliard stepped in and made the most of the Big Ten title game — and he might have to have a role against Clemson.

Hes going to be big in the CFP with his experience and talent. And even with all of the injuries, he still can physically keep up and excel. Rotationally I can see him making great plays and staying fresh

He needs to start. Tuf can't carry his jock. Put Browning in the middle with Hilliard and Werner and sit the slowest LB we have on the roster please, especially against Clemson and their speed.
I agree...but put Pete in the middle. That game against MSU showed that Pete is far and away the best middle linebacker on the team.

Browning|Werner|Hilliard might be the best trio of backers in the country!
