I'm sorry but this is dumb
Who’s to say players would be granted immediate eligibility?I’m not sure what is dumb about it....there’s no guarantee of a spring season either.
Ohio State should be as flexible as possible with guys like Cooper and Hilliard (or any player on roster). They should allow them to seek transfers to schools that are playing, and should those seasons be cancelled, welcome them back with open arms.
I have a hard time believing that the NCAA would encourage the one year raid of the Pac 12 and B1G with assurance of immediate eligibility. Knowingly kneecapping two conferences is a bad business model. On the other hand, it's the NCAA, so....Who’s to say players would be granted immediate eligibility?
Also, if they end up canceling fall championships due to S-A health and safety concerns, how could they in good conscience grant immediate eligibility to any transferring athlete? Talk about hypocritical. Then again, like you said, it's the NCAA.I have a hard time believing that the NCAA would encourage the one year raid of the Pac 12 and B1G with assurance of immediate eligibility. Knowingly kneecapping two conferences is a bad business model. On the other hand, it's the NCAA, so....
Many of the players mentioned earlier have not graduated. If they’ve already graduated I see no reason to make them ineligible.
