LB John Kerr (official thread)

IIRC, we started in the nickel with Laurinaitis and Freeman as the only LB's.

Yep, he was in on the first 2 plays when in the 4-3 and then Homan came in for him, and I think that he only played 2 more plays after that.

He was listed on the starters tho when they gave the starting lineups on ABC.

only played 4 snaps, zero tackes... some of this had to do with the fact that the Silver Bullets were in the Nickel for the large majority of the game... i think his last chance to grab significant PT is against Cincy... if he doesn't show it on 9/16, you can stick a fork in him... alum82 over on BN is convinced that be'd be an impact at Mike if we'd only give him a chance, and thinks that Luke used his heart rather than his brain when he moved him to Will... i think that Animal is just that good... oh well, whatever...

aside, and completely off topic: Sean Salibury just said that he doesn't think that the Raiders could even compete for the BCS championship...

Injury may keep Kerr on sideline
Sunday, January 7, 2007

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. The Buckeyes may not have their entire starting defense on the field Monday night in the national championship game.

Weakside linebacker John Kerr was injured and could not make it back during a 90-minute practice Saturday night. Head Coach Jim Tressel did not say what type of injury Kerr suffered. ?The only guy I?m a little concerned about is John Kerr not making it,? Tressel said. ?He came back, and he tried to fight through it.?
