LB Gabe Powers (transfer to Kansas St.)

Watching KSU playing IS. Powers is all over the place. Nice to see the kid making a mark.

Late in the game, he was making a lot of mistakes. Going the wrong way defending the run, didn’t get enough depth and gave up a crucial 3rd down conversion because the QB threw it right over top of him.

The ability is definitely there though. Just has to clean up the small things.

Sounds like BIG things to me!

I said they were small because he was playing well earlier in the game. Maybe just fatigue from the first game of the season and he’s playing more than he has in a few years. I’ll be watching and rooting for him this season.
