Freddie has already been designated as one of the top prospects in the state. He had experience at linebacker, but is project as a college safety. He was an honorable mention all-state selection in Division I last season.

Finished 7th in the 100 Meter Dash at the state finals last year @11.08

top three are Ohio State, Florida and Iowa- most think he is a tOSU lean

Freddie says he will play LB and RB this upcoming Glenville season- does he play LB or Safety at tOSU?? What does everyone think?

on a side note i believe that i have my picture attachment problem solved. it seems that i am only allowed 100kb per post not per picture. i will just split off other pics into new posts and the problem is solved. now to think about bumping up the hot chicks thread again.

Yeah, there's a limit on uploaded attachments for the sake of trying to keep bandwidth in reasonable check. I might try to tweak it a bit though. I thought it was 100k per attachment, not total for all the attachments in one post. I'll have to check that out.

There is of course no limit on images linked into posts from other websites using the {IMG}{/IMG} tags (where '{' is actually '[').

Thanks for the headsup on those Lenix Rivals videos. Great tackler, very good speed at RB, good hands on that catch. Since OSU loves physical, sure-tackling DB's, I gotta think Lenix would be an ideal safety in our system.

BIATCHabutuka, this pic was from the Glenville/Lincoln West game last fall...I'll try to put some more pics up here, I posted a bunch tonight...still trying to get the hang of it....

YEAH, this year was another snoozer, the fellas on Lincoln W. must have fumbled the snap at least 10 times....it was a 3pm game though so i was able to watch that and still catch pittman in akron later on that evening.

Lenix ran a 10.7 and beat Jamario 10.9 at the Jesse Owens championships yesterday.

Plus Curtis Smith won shot put and discus events

Ted Ginn Jr. said there was some bad and some good in Saturday's Jesse Owens Championships track and field meet at John F. Kennedy.

"It was bad that I was tired," the Glenville senior said. "It was good that I was able to run through it."

Ginn and many of his teammates were suffering a little sleep deprivation after Friday's prom and prom-to-dawn. While some of their times might have suffered, it wasn't enough to stop the Tarblooders from winning their fourth consecutive Senate Athletic League boys championship.

Ginn led the Tarblooders with four first-place finishes. He won the 110-meter hurdles in 13.9, the 200 meters in 21.0, the 400 meters in 48.9, and anchored Glenville's victory in the 4x400 relay.

The defending Division I state champion finished with 205 points. Collinwood was second with 106 points, followed by JFK with 82.

Ginn's father, Glenville coach Ted Ginn Sr., said he was glad the meet was over.

"With the cold and the rain, and the kids running tired, the important thing was we got through it without anyone getting hurt," coach Ginn said. "They did well running tired."

One Glenville runner who did not attend the prom was junior Clarence Collins, but then he needed his rest. Collins was the only runner in the field to attempt a distance triple. He won the 800 meters in 2:02.3 and the 1,600 meters in 4:39.0. He finished second to Collinwood's Eric Dent in the 3,200 meters.

"I was feeling pretty good," Collins said. "I was a lot more focused this week. My coaches told me there weren't a lot of people that could run with me and I believed them."

Collins said he hopes to move down to some shorter distances next season when graduations open up a few spots.

"Hopefully next year I can get on that 4x400 [relay]," he said. "But for now I'm the Ted Ginn of the distances."

Glenville's Freddie Lenix won a blistering 100 meters in 10.7, edging JFK's Antonio Kellom (10.8) and teammate Jamario O'Neal (10.9). After running on the first-place 4x100 relay, he curled up in the stands for a nap.

"I was pretty tired," Lenix said. "I got about three hours of sleep, but I was able to stay focused and I did what I had to do."

Curtis Smith won both throwing events for Glenville, with a 53-6 in the shot put and 144-10 in the discus.
