I really enjoyed this guys video. Nice speed and some powerful hit. I think i would be very happy to see and offer and a commit. I like the underated LBs like Spitler etc.
Schwartz attended Ohio State's spring game on Saturday and had a good time. His top five right now are Ohio State, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, and Indiana. Eric says Ohio State is his leader right now. He will attend Ohio State's day camp and senior camp.
Schwartz competed in the Gateway MSL this weekend. He checked in at 6', 230 and basically duplicated his Nike camp performance. His vertical was a 29, broad jump was a 8' 00'', L-Cone was 7.59, and he ran a 4.5 shuttle.
After watching his video I am definately impressed with his knack for finding the ball and his determination. The only thing I saw that I wasn't too impressed with was how high he was when making a lot of those tackles. I think he needs to work on lowering the shoulder and running through the ball carrier instead of throwing them down with his arms.
Last week he performed at the Midwest Elite Combine and ran a 4.8, repped 225 18 times, ran a 4.5 pro-agility, and his vert. was 28. He did not get burnt at all in the passing routes, and had 3 or 4 interceptions.
Schwartz will also be perfroming at the Akron Combine this weekend.
Schwartz says tOSU is his leader. He talked to the staff a few weeks ago and he is not sure of their plans but would love to play for the Buckeyes. Miami(OH), Cincy and Northwestern are also possiblities if an offer from tOSU does not happen.
If anything we can still pick him up and transfer him to a DE like we do with carpenter because I'm not sure about the 4.7-8 time from LB. I'd like to see OSU do that with a couple of their slower LB's that have a good motor.
