Booker was OLB, he got passed over by Tuf passing over Worley and Worley moving back out to his natural position.

However...This really tells me the LB pecking order is too deep and Booker feels he can get a better look at playing time elsewhere.
Young guys like Borland, Jones, Werner, and Harrison...couple that with Browning and what we have coming in with Gant, Pope & Mitchell and older guys like Hilliard (who I’m personally surprised it was Booker and not Hilliard to announce a transfer) and White looking for a position to settle into. Gotta improve your chances to get a look and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Booker get a look at any number of P5 programs.

Makes sense if he does transfer, he played a lot better under Fickell than he did Bill Davis.

Yeah, and was probably going to be passed over by Browning too this year...
This isn't much of a surprise to me. It sucks no doubt because he never really filled up to his HS ranking and abilities. Wish him the best, but I'm sure he saw the writings on the wall, the young pups are ready to get their chance to shine, and he wasn't going to be able to keep up.
Hope he gets to land at UC, I like the idea of Fickell taking some of the transfers from UC and slowly building something in Cincinnati

What’s up with Booker this year? Every coach mention of him says he’s coming back from an injury, but he sure doesn’t look like he’s less than 100%. Between that and a number change makes me think he’s in the doghouse somehow. To go from a starting, productive LB last year to this, something has to be going on.
