LB Baron Browning (Arizona Cardinals)

Watched the game again. LB play has been discussed ad nauseam. Hate to keep harping on the same issues but it isn't getting fixed. On numerous ocassions vs. Minny, Baron was standing in the hole that the ball carrier eventually ran through. He was not engaged with an OL and could have come downhill and attacked the ball, to possibly make a tackle or at least slow him up. Instead, he sought after the OL, engaged, and essentially took himself out of the play, leaving his gap unfilled and a massive running lane behind. I don't get it. Then, to top it off, falls to the ground after hardly being touched. Gotta be tougher than that if he is going to be successful here. Man, I hope there is time to clean this up.

See ball..... get ball. Our LB's play too close to the LOS and aren't tracking the ball very well. Borland ran damn near 20 feet the wrong way before he realized the ball was going the other way. PA pass against better teams (MSU and ttun) are going to kill us down the stretch.

I don't know the answer but they sure continue to give him opportunities while he's trying to figure it out. Something needs to change.

I noticed they had him in on quite a few assummed pass downs (3rd and mediums) against Minny and they snuck some runs in with success. Not sure what his role is going to be the rest of the way if he continues to vacate his gap when the run is coming right at him.

Was he a MLB in HS? He always reminded me of Jerome Baker or Shazier type, who flew sideline to sideline

He lined up all over, but I don't recall seeing him at MLB. With his athleticism, he's perfect to play outside....
