Still fortitudinous
I might be biased, but I watched several of the Texas games last year, in addition to all of ours, and I think that Hawk's every bit as good an LB as Johnson. Johnson seems like a great athlete, but he also seems a bit overrated in my mind--I think he won all those awards as much based on the fact that everyone thought he was going to be great coming into the season than his actual performance on the field, at least for the Texas games I watched. A.J., on the other hand, is just a monster. What amazes me most is his athleticism--he constantly runs down opposing RB's and his interceptions last year often involved his making diving catches that most TE's would not make. I didn't see Johnson doing any of that this past year.

. If you look at the stats( for this year) hawk had about 11 more tackles but dj had more solo. DJ had one more sack, Hawk had one more interception. I think that we can agree that so far, by the numbers anyway, they are about as even as you get. Here is the kicker and why so many people thougt that DJ was such a great defensive playmaker. DJ had 9 forced fumbles this year. Hawk had 1. DJ had 19 tackles for a loss of 52 yards, Hawk had 10 for a loss of 8 yards. You said yourself that it was AJ's athletisim that amazed you, well, athletisism is why DJ was considered the best in the business this year. So much so that the one knock that nfl scouts have on him is that they dont know how he is gonna take on blocks in the nfl(he was fast enough to outrun them in college)
