LoKy,
sorry for having an imaginative sense of humor, it'll never happen again.
Me too. I miss them all. I missed them after the Northwestern game, when Tressel brought them one by one off the field. This must be how a teacher feels, when all his/her favorite students graduate and move on. Every year it happens, but you still want to follow their careers and keep track of them.Damnit, I already miss AJ...

TEMPE, Ariz. — It was about as fitting a tribute as a player named A.J. Hawk could expect.
Winning the defensive MVP trophy after Ohio State’s victory over Notre Dame last night in the Fiesta Bowl? Well, yeah, that probably was cool, too.
But as A.J. Hawk stepped forward to receive the award, tens of thousands of fans still in the stands flapped their arms. Coach Jim Tressel and the Buckeyes joined in.
"I didn’t really notice it until the very end," Hawk said. "That’s something some of the guys on the team started and I guess it caught on."
In four seasons, Hawk rose to be regarded as one of the great OSU linebackers. A two-time All-American and the 2005 Lombardi Award winner, he’s about to fly away to the NFL, where draft experts peg him as a high firstround pick in April.
But he had one last college game to play yesterday, against Notre Dame.
He led his team in tackles with 12. He led his defense in tackles for loss with 3.5.
More than anything, though, he led the defense, safety Donte Whitner said.
"When A.J. gets fired up about getting held or something, he’s different out there, and you could see he was fired up all night long," Whitner said.
As for Hawk’s two sacks of Notre Dame’s Brady Quinn, they were nothing personal, Hawk said. That’s even if one of the subplots to this matchup was the fact that Hawk’s girlfriend is Laura Quinn, older sister of Brady.
"Any time you get to a quarterback it feels good," Hawk said. "That was our game plan."
Hawk, along with defensive end Mike Kudla with three sacks, excelled at it, getting to Quinn more times than any other team this season. Quinn knew Hawk’s fourth-down sack near the OSU goal line late in the first half that saved a score was just Hawk being Hawk.
"Obviously, he’s a great player, and he showed up today and had a great game," Quinn said. "I’m sure he’s got a bright future in the NFL. He was playing in the Fiesta Bowl and he was playing against Notre Dame. He was amped."
But Hawk said the electricity flowing through him was generated as much to boost Tressel’s reputation. He had listened for a month as the media heaped praise on Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis and his offensive wizardry.
"I was thinking about what everyone was saying about giving coach Weis four weeks to prepare," Hawk said. "What about giving coach Tressel four weeks to prepare? He’s four out of five in the bowl games. That’s where I think the focus should have been from you guys."
Hawk wasn’t so bad himself in bowls. He was the defensive MVP here after the win over Kansas State following the 2003 season.
"A.J., man, he always shows up in the big games and plays great," safety Nate Salley said. "He did another great job tonight. I wouldn’t have expected anything less."
