To the socially conditioned it may seem irresponsible to have so many kids because he obviously wasn't in all of their lives but at the same time I envy the hell out of a man who spent his life fucking, smoking dope and playing music. That is without a doubt living your best life.

My take is very different, having fathered six children in a blended family. My best life is knowing that these kids all made it through college, grounded themselves in a profession that has a positive effect on their lives and greater society, found someone to share their life, and built their own strong families. We were a generation of selfish egotistical entitled bitches who wanted everything handed to them on a platter. Most of us found divorce and a lot of unhappiness along the way. My best life is seeing that they are more than me in so many ways.
