No, you're actually proving my point. Elon turning into a "troll" (I'm letting you have this btw, but we both know he's not) is what made the "troll" haters come out of the woodwork, if that makes sense. The envy of these people that you say hate him, aren't envious of his accomplishments, they are envious of his platform and how he chooses to use it. I'm not even sure anyone other than an incredibly loud fringe "hates" him. Remember the infamous AOC poll? Legendary! If it was simply envy, wouldn’t everyone have hated him before he turned into a troll? Not taking anything away from what he’s accomplished, but maybe people just think he’s a dickhead because he acts like a dickhead?
"Dickhead?" Now, if "people" (generalization) genuinely disliked Elon on any level, then why is working for Tesla the most desired career in the US? I'll happily produce the data on this, but I'm sure you can find it. The sheer amount of people that apply to work for Tesla is simply staggering, and their acceptance rate is exponentially lower than Harvard.
See, when you have that many people that want to work for you, and of course, purchase your time machines on four wheels, then my contention is that the evidence clearly shows that if he is not universally loved, he is certainly universally respected. I don't know about you, but I'll take that all day long.
