Where did it all go wrong for Elon? The first time I ever heard anything negative about him was during the pandemic when he decided to move his headquarters from CA to TX. That made him an asshole for some reason.

2 years before Covid he was calling a cave diver a “pedo” for calling out his dumbass rescue plan for the kids in Thailand. I’ve always thought the guy was a charlatan, but that was the first public crack in the facade that I remember seeing where the internet started to turn on him,

Elon knows he has the ultimate F-U money... so he can do whatever he wants... He doesn't need to be politically correct.. He can be Elon and say whatever Elon wants to say... I tip my hat to that...

So when he says F-U to the sponsors... go for it... With his net worth, anyone, especially advertisers, trying to blackmail him is a fool... 530 million users is a huge number of eyeballs... not nearly Facebook tier... but Facebook may be the most devious social network app on the globe... open door to every private piece of info on your computer/laptop or phone...

When I was in marketing, we paid $5M to run one :30 ad (which cost us $1M to produce) in the Super Bowl and that was for 100 million viewers.

I haven't dove into exactly what all this is about... but frankly, wouldn't matter... Guy plays by the rules.. earned his money the right way... he's not doing anything to destroy my country... so I'm OK with that.. becoming more xenophobic the older I get... Stress? certainly not financially when you're the richest man on the globe who sleeps on a cot in the office.

So I just went to the internet to see what all this is about... and not sure I understand it... all sounds really dumb... And looks like Elon admitted whatever he posted or agreed with.. was really dumb... When I see this type of horseshit my mind is now trained to think "some entity is fucking us, we're finding out or it's leaking.. so we need to create a major diversion".. so must be stuff on X that's getting too close to home so all the devious bastards need to keep eyeballs away from there...

I've never been able to figure out if Lear and Gilligan were the two smartest dumb guys on the planet, or the two dumbest smart guys on the planet. They both created iconic characters that everyone was supposed to loath, but instead, to their surprise, everyone universally loved. I suppose in defense of Gilligan, he thought everyone was just supposed to flip a switch as Walt's behavior devolved into the absurd.
