As far as the Bourne movies go. DO NOT read the books before watching the movies. They are decent movies by themselves, but reading the book and expecting the movies to turn out just as good will forever piss me off.

Had the same problem with Donnie Brasco. The movie did not do the book justice.

Cross of Iron

I viewed the movie "Cross of Iron" this week. For any of you that typically enjoy WWII movies, it is worth watching.

It was released in 1977 and stars James Coburn. The most intersesting part of the movie to me, was the fact that it was presented from the German point of view. Most WWII movies are patiotric in nature and present the American perspective.

In this movie, it takes a look at a German colonel, ad Prussian captain and a German seargeant struggling for survival on the eastern front. All three have very different views of the war.

In conclusion I would highly recommend this film.

I hate Robin Williams.

About the only good role he ever had was in Awakenings.
What Dreams May Come is a very, very good movie.

Very true. I wished they had just changed the name of the movie so there was no expectation that the movie would be as good as or even related to the book in some significant fashion.

Is that the one with Ving Rhames? If so, I agree. It sucked. I'm a pansy when it comes to horror movies and that movie didn't scare me at all.

That's the one. I'm sorry for your loss of those two hours. Wish I'd spent that time on BP instead.

Have you seen Shaun of the Dead? Great movie. Pretty funny. The guy from Hitch hiker's guide to the galaxy is in it.

Much better film. That's part of the reason I watch Dawn of the Dead. I figured, hey, if it's good enoug to spoof, it's got to be decent. Yeah, yeah, plenty of faulty logic in there somewhere. :smash:
