I, for one, hope that the bathhouse scene was done in one take in Eastern Promises. Couldn't have been too comfortable for all parties involved. The ending left me wanting, but it didn't detract from another excellent job by Croenberg. Not sure where this or A History of Violence came from, but wow he's really surprised me.

next on the list is Night Watch: Nochnoi Dozor

Interesting movie. Awesome special effects. I am looking forward to Twilightwatch when it comes out. (if they don't get too far from the other movies since Fox has taken over and is doing it in English maybe with different actors)

The eye candy factor in the movies ain't all bad, but we would need to take that to the RR.

Watched it. Definitely an interesting movie. I thought it would be a little more hellish and dark, but it was still quite good. I'm certainly going to want to see the next two. I was also impressed with the dubbing. It wasn't like Godzilla movies at all. Anyway, quality flick.

Started watching Terminator 3 the other day then realized how bad it was and strayed from the other two movies, I turned it off. The fact that Arnold gets worked by a 110lb chick bothers me...

Looking forward to renting "Nochnoi Dozor" too...Arrow In The Head gave it a solid review and he is usually pretty spot on. Anyone see "The Last Winter" or "ils"?

Cloverfield.

Plus- avoided the conventions typical to the vast majority of moviedom.

minus- Jiggy Camera. I know that makes it "realistic" but its a freaking monster movie. I would gladly have sacrificed some shaky camera. really.

overall best movie I have seen this year. Well it is the first movie I went to see this year, so.....

Cloverfield. I'm confused on how I feel about this movie;

I went with somebody I care about, so the whole " I love her" thing really played well. But come the fuck on...

Btw: for those who said there was something after the credits, dont be fooled... there aint shit - I know, I looked like a jackass sitting and waiting.
