It's like they wrote the final scene first and then worked backwards to create a stupidly ridiculous storyline to lead to it. Nothing more than a POS Sci-Fi channel movie with a massive budget. Exactly how I felt. Sure the CGI was cool...and watching it in IMAX 3D didn't hurt.....but the plot was just one stupid decision after the next.

Watched two movies tonight, The Forgotten and Beyond Borders.

The Forgotten was just...weird. Felt like it should be a horror with cheap scares around every corner, but it wasn't, and then the ending of the movie did seem more like a horror movie, only it was an alien movie. So weird. Not terrible, per se, but not good, either.

Beyond Borders was great. Not exactly what I was expecting (hoped for and expected something more along the lines of Tears of the Sun), but still a great movie with some moving moments and music.

Speaking of the music, both soundtracks are Horner works, and Beyond Borders is just solid throughout the soundtrack. Right up there with Tears of the Sun and Schindler's List for me.

I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. I could see (and have read about) teachers buying emotions figurines (such as joy, anger, sadness, etc.) for their classrooms and using them as teaching tools.

The coloring of the animation was probably one of the best of any Pixar movie.

Moving across the country is probably a traumatic event for any child, so I could see how kids could relate.

Ted2. There were some parts that were pretty damn funny, especially the Liam Neeson bit. I nearly spilled my drink from that exchange.

Over all its as good and in some ways better than the first movie. Considering how bad sequels can be, that in and of itself is a victory.

I haven't been so hyped for a Pixar movie since Toy Story 2 as a teenager.

It lived up to every expectation I had.

As a matter of fact, I can very easily see Inside Out having the same overall effect that the Toy Story franchise did with kids aged 8-14. It can very easily grow up with them, express and "discuss" topics relevant to being "that age" to them in a light but meaningful way and ultimately carry the Pixar name for a new generation of fans. I actually left the theater excited for what comes next.

Rented Hobbit Battle of the 5 Armies. Made it 45 into it before we became insanely bored.

I've never read the books so I have no concerns about accuracy but wow was it bad. We have the rental one more day but I'm not sure I have the will to finish it.

Furious 7. What a steaming pile that was. They really need to make the next once a crossover with Die Hard and let Marvel produce it since they've turned all these characters into superheroes at this point.

I don't laugh out loud watching comedies.

I died laughing watching that dinosaur movie. It was so bad.

I also watched Babadook or whatever. Over hyped but a good show. It reminds me of Rosemary's Baby in tone of creepiness.

Then finally decided to watch a good movie to clear my senses and watched Roadhouse. Best movie ever.

Anarchy Parlor: sort of a Hostel type movie, but it had a great villain. Plus, I can't sugarcoat this, if a hot blonde covered in tattoos and having a crazy tongue stud throwing you down sounds appealing to you, then your Finnish Goddess is in this movie. Holy. Hell. Some of this movie was cheesy, especially the ending, but the dude playing the villain made it fun. 3/5

Flipped on Noah on EPIX last night - pretty entertaining, definitely better than I expected. The big bonus - unexpected Emma Watson AND Jennifer Connelly. My god Jennifer's still gorgeous and has had some very memorable roles that I need to revisit.
