"In case you haven't noticed, and judging by the attendance you haven't, the Indians have managed to win a few ball games, and are threatening to climb out of the cellar."

Harry Doyle was the absolute shit in that movie lol

Not sure if I really liked Captain America because most of it was filmed locally or if it was really good. Be interesting to see what the final numbers look like. I do love all the little things Marvel does to tie all the movies/tv together.

The Informant

LOL The fact that it was base don a true story is just, well, hilarious to me. I know more than a few people that think the same way that guy did: "If I just keep rationalizing situations whether true or not, people will eventually believe me!!"

Saw 2 this weekend in the drama/horror genre:

King of Devil's Island: Norway is an underrated film country, and this gem was about an uprising at the notorious Bastoy boys detention/child labor camp in 1915. Dark, creepy, and atmospheric, it moved slowly in spots but was high on good acting and drama. I give it 3.5/5, and the only reason it isn't higher is that it was hard to like any of the characters...with no real protagonist, the story lacks something. But if you like foreign dramas based on true stories, this one doesn't quite measure up to The Lives of Others, but it was well worth a view.

Hidden in the Woods: I mainly watched this for 2 reasons: One, it is a foreign horror film (Chile), which are generally all better than American ones, and two, it is being remade for American cinema, so people are talking about it (much like We are what we are). I guess third, Artsploitation studios has some provocative recent films, such as Toad Road, that people are talking about (not necessarily positively, but people are talking). In all, this one was pretty average fair. The main female lead is attractive enough and the brother was creepy, and the story had some moments here and there, but it wasn't gripping enough and the acting wasn't good enough to get anywhere near the Mount Rushmore of French Extremity. Plenty of blood and some creepy moments, but otherwise it was kind of meh. 2.5/5.

Very underrated movie, IMO. Matt Damon is hilarious in it.

I remember when it came out it looked good, but never got around to watching it. Yes, Damon played that character to a tee. My favorite line is towards the end when he is still trying to convince the FBI that his forged letter from his psychiatrist was legit.

"Well, looks like I need to go back to the hospital" in a completely matter of fact tone.

Yeah, I actually caught that in the theaters when it was out. It's full of good little quotes from his character...

" When polar bears hunt, they crouch down by a hole in the ice and wait for a seal to pop up. They keep one paw over their nose so that they blend in, because they've got those black noses. They'd blend in perfectly if not for the nose. So the question is, how do they know their noses are black? From looking at other polar bears? Do they see their reflections in the water and think, "I'd be invisible if not for that." That seems like a lot of thinking for a bear."

"I've been to Tokyo. They sell little-girl underwear in the vending machines right on the main drag, the Ginza, or whatever. Guys in suits buying used girl panties. How is that okay? That's not okay."

" It's not just lysine. It's citric. It's gluconate. There was a guy who left the company because he wouldn't do it. He was forced out. The gluconate guy, he's out of a job."

Mark Whitacre: Mark Whitacre, secret agent 0014.
Rusty Williams: Why 0014?
Mark Whitacre: Cause I'm twice as smart as 007.
