Um, wow. This was amazing. Probably my favorite from "The List" so far. Big fan of 80's Eddie Murphy movies & he was phenomenal in this one as well. I counted at least three actors that were in Big Trouble in Little China (Actors who played Lo Pan, Egg Shen & one of the three crazy dudes who were like Raiden from Mortal Kombat) as well, so that was also a big plus in my book. Charles Dance played the main antagonist, which was an immediate major plus for me in this movie as well. Really liked this one.

bought Raiders of the lost Ark for the kids a month or so ago; Was surprised to see Doctor Octopus in it.
That was his very first big picture film If I'm not mistaken. Probably had the same thoughts I had when I was watching Ladyhawke.

Fun little adventure. Anything with six dwarves in it is bound to lead you on an exceptional journey. Add time travel into that equation and you have yourselves a recipe for a monumental one. Ian Holm was great as Napoleon as was Sean Connery as Agamemnon. John Cleese as Robin Hood was probably my favorite though, although David Warner as Evil was awesome as well. He had more scenes, so his cumulative contribution to the film was greater, but those few scenes with Robin Hood were hilarious.

Absolutely awesome. Definitely liked it more than the last Ralph Bakshi movie (Wizards) I watched, although I really enjoyed that one as well too. Really infatuated with Ralph Bakshi's infatuation with large-breasted women. Even if in animated form, it's still visually pleasing to a certain degree. The ending to this one was downright phenomenal. Slow & steady buildup and boom, shit hit the fan real quick. Really liked the abundance of action at the end. It made for a fantastic and memorable ending.

Harrison Ford really was that close to the cobra. They had a piece of plexiglass in between to prevent him from being bitten.

When you watch the movie there is a point where you can see the cobra's relfection in the plexiglass.

I believe they digitially removed it in newer DVD releases. Which tells me it's been too long since I last watched Raiders.

for the type of movie Pacific Rim is, you would think it would be one of those types of typical action movies that get horrible reviews, but you go see it anyways because of it's sheer awesomeness..

but yet, it's getting great reviews, and many people aren't seeing it

and yet Grown Ups 2 raked in 40 mil :shake:

The Do you want to know why those of us born in the before the mid 70's are so screwed up? The next group of films will give you a hint, they show the world we fully expected we'd be living in someday:
The Day After - A made for TV movie that provided the public service of letting us know that when the missiles started flying we'll all be [censored]ed..

Another way this one is like many of its era: it stars Steve Guttenberg, which is disturbing even before he is ravaged by radiation sickness.
