Star Trek: Into Darkness

Benedict Cumberbatch is one bad mother. If you enjoyed the first new one, I don't see any way you won't enjoy this one.

I didn't know who this Benedict Cumberbatch guy was before I saw the movie. Phenomenal actor and he was legit as an athlete during the chase and fight scenes.

The Impossible.........true story based on one families survival during the Tsunami that hit in 2004. Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts. I thought it was done really well. It only focused on this one family and what they went through trying to find each other after they were swept away. Worth a redbox rental

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - exactly what you'd expect... but have to wonder what kind of drugs the writers, directors and producers do to even imagine this stuff, sets, scenes, characters

For sure. I would also recommend the BBC's Sherlock series with him as Sherlock & Martin Freeman as Watson.

Safe

Typical Statham movie. A billion rounds shot at him, 500 bad guys after him, and he kicks everyone's ass and walks away barely breaking a sweat.

Fun movie, but nothing more than gratuitous violence.

No problem. If you've never seen "Snatch", I'd recommend seeing that too. Very similar & directed by Guy Ritchie as well. I have a difficult time picking which movie I like more between "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels".

Watched Star Wars IV and VI tonight. Still great movies, especially the last one.

I did catch something I never noticed before, during the scene with Luke and Han shooting at the TIE fighters from the Millennium Falcon, when one of the TIEs flies by you can see a faint green box around the TIE. I have the older, original trilogy DVD set (from like '05 or something like that), so I don't know if its on any of the other versions.
