The movie is about the queen being turned into a bear. The previews never even mentioned a bear. Man it sucked.

Hmmmmm, took the granddaughter (10) to see it and we both enjoyed it. Pixar art is incredible.

Two days later went to see Moonrise Kingdom. If you liked Little Miss Sunshine (and I did) you'll love this film. Witty. Clever. An incredible list of supporting actors and actresses including Bruce Willis, Frances McDermond, Bill Murray, Tilda Swindon, Ed Norton.

The American version of Dragon Tattoo. I was surprised how well it followed the story, and didn't shy away from some taboos I thought they would. Still like the original better, but this was a good flick.

'Amazing Spiderman'...not on the same level as the Batmans, Avengers, or even Ironman, but still a pretty good summertime flick. I'm one of the few who never cared for the Tobey Maguire series, so was pleasantly surprised...7/10

Ted. Wish it had less lame love story and more funny parts. There were some really funny parts, but I just didn't really give that much of a fuck about the love story part of it, which was probably more than half of the movie. I think shortening it would've helped, like someone else mentioned.

Still good though.

Saw it tonight 7/10. Better than the Savages which makes me kinda sad. Of course i had no preconceived notions about spiderman, unlike the Savages. Agree with your thoughts ... However Maguire had the nerdiness down pat. Garfield just looks like a heroin addict underground nyc punk rocker.

Also saw "the rum diary" 2/10. Amber Herd is hot, but if i CHOOSE to get up and fold laundry then it was a bad movie.

Just saw Ted. I thought it was a really good movie. I actually think the love story helps. It made the characters more likeable, which is something I have always felt hurt much of McFarlane's characters in the past. There are flaws, plus it can be more stupid than funny and also disjointed at times. Yet in the end it was really funny.

Now, if you hate Family Guy, it's not for you. Yet if you even like Family Guy a little bit, then you will like this.

"We Bought a Zoo" - it's a Cameron Crowe film, so how you feel about him probably determines whether you like it or not. I was on a family vacation and happened to be in the right mood for his brand of emotional schmaltz, so I enjoyed it, particularly the casting: Thomas Haden Church as Matt Damon's cynical brother was funny, a couple of the bit players were really memorable. I am a big fan of zoos, and since it's based on a true story (in England) that helped it feel a bit less melodramatic. I continue to feel completely 'meh' about Scarlett Johansson.

When in the hell did short, cute & annoying become 'stunning'?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There are people that still try and convince me that Julia Roberts is "gorgeous" and "beautiful", but all I see when I look at her is Secretariat.

Watched this with a negative attitude going in, ended up enjoying the film. Nothing spectacular, but a story well worth telling.
