I saw a surprise movie last night on STARZ called "The sum of all Fears". Something like the incident with the bomb is not far fetched and it was kind of scary thinking about it. Pretty good movie i thought

I really enjoy this movie. Despite my hatred of all things Ben Affleck

Enjoyable movie, but Harrison Ford as Jack Ryan ****> Ben Affleck as Jack Ryan. Give me "Clear and Present Danger" or "Patriot Games".

Also, Alec Baldwin as Jack Ryan ****> Ben Affleck as Jack Ryan

AND, Willem Dafoe as John Clark > Liev Schreiber as John Clark

Still, it's pretty hard to mess up a Tom Clancy movie all that much.

Yeah, the stories about her sister supposedly being involed in smuggling and and the fact the they refused the lawyers the Austalian government just made it more of a mystery.

Watch "Boy Interrupted" if you get a chance...it's pretty rough to get through considering it deals with the suicide of a 15 year old boy with bipolar but the movie is amazing and it's on HBO OnDemand...

The American version on Funny Games. Pretty good, but I liked the orignal better.

Agreed 100%...although true of most remakes from my experience...rarely do they do it better the second time, even when it's shot for shot like Funny Games is.

Funny People

Needed some cuts. It was way too long. But aside from that, I really liked it. It was a serious movie that happened to have humor in it. I think people had the wrong idea about what it was, understandably.

Kingdom of Heaven - Orlando Bloom was not nearly unbearable as I usually find him. Movie was a bit on the preachy side, but over all, not as bad as I would have expected.

Old Boy - It has the music, cinematography, and direction of Amelie....with the insanity of Audition. Wow, was that a _______ movie. I'm not sure what adjective to use yet.

I think "fuckin' sweet" fits in the blank pretty well.

BUCKYLE suggested "[censored]in' bad ass".....I think either would work, but I'm not sure "completely [censored]ed up" is out of line, either.

There are very few adjectives that wouldn't describe Old Boy...what a great movie.

Forgot to mention....Old Boy (along with quite a few other Korean films) is currently available through Time-Warner's "Free Movies on Demand" under the Sundance tab. Channel 1103 here in Columbus.

Unfortunately, my manly remote control does not allow access to any "Sundance" tab. :wink2:
