Rufus, Brint, and Meekus were like brothers to me. And when I say brother, I don't mean, like, an actual brother, but I mean it like the way black people use it. Which is more meaningful I think.

Watchmen last night. Was okay, not great. Too long, not enough action to sustain 165 minutes. Seemed like it should have been over 3 times and just kept going. Malin Ackerman has one of the nicest asses I've ever seen.

The story was the best part! The action just happened to be there.

How did they edit it for content? Bleeps, dub-overs? Just skip any scene with Grandpa in it?
No dubs or bleeps, they just cut the sound. You could still lip read and know exactly what was said, without the "Put your hands up you fairy godmother" abortion that someone did to The Usual Suspects.

Sorry the story wasn't great IMO. The people I went with said for the last 30 or so minutes they just wished it would end so we could leave, I agreed. Watchmen defined average for me....
Like I said earlier, I enjoyed the story, but I guess it isn't for everyone. It was the definition of a comic book movie plot-wise, and I'm generally not a big "super hero" adaptation fan.

Incidently, I'm reading the graphic novel now and it's amazing how faithful they stayed to the book. It's literally shot for shot from the book with only a few exceptions, many of which are supposed to be in the directors cut.

And I think that is the big thing here. If people liked the book they are going to really like the movie, only a few small things were taken out. It is not for everyone, but you can say that about just about every movie really.
