Iron Man, ironic that Robert Downey jr played a drunk womanizing playboy...
Downey Jr's characterization of Iron Man was quite possibly the best acting job I've seen since Courtney Love won awards for her portrayal of a sleazy drug addled coke-whore taking advantage of her celebrity husband in The People vs Larry Flynt.

I don't believe you. Olive Stone would never manipulate factual historic events to push his own agenda.

What, what, wha? You mean to tell me movies aren't totally true?
That biography's AREN'T skewed by the author's opinions?

War of the Worlds w/ Tom Cruise.

I thoroughly enjoyed it - I was way overdue for a sci-fi, heavy on special effects flick.

Seriously, a perfect movie up until the Tim Robbins part.

It's not that I dislike the part, but the movie had separated itself by being different, then it went the traditional thriller direction. And the ending was a huge buzzkill.

I still love the movie. 8/10

I just can't stand Tom Cruise past the 1980s-1990s. I just went and looked at IMBD and I haven't seen a single one of his movies all the way through since "Interview with the Vampire." What he started taking himself so seriously in "Far and Away", "A Few Good Men" and "The Firm" I stopped being able to watch him.

He pretty much plays the same character in most of his films, honestly. And he's a prick. He's done a couple good ones that I recommend though.

Two you should check out are War of the Worlds and Collateral. Collateral is fucking awesome, and I guarantee you'd like it. War of the Worlds is awesome because of the tension that they set up throughout the movie.

Seriously, watch Collateral. There's some pre-No Country for Old Men Javier Bardem and Jamie Foxx acting awesomely in it.

"Yo homie, is that my briefcase?" :banger:

EDIT: Last Samurai was good too.

Yes, that's part of the problem. He's not Tom Cruise bringing life to a character, he is Tom Cruise deigning to be in your little project by being Tom Cruise in a costume.

I also have personal issues with his personal life and frankly, now I choose to not watch anything(even the older movies) he is in in order to do my own small part to refuse him royalties. I know, it's a useless gesture, but it's like giving food to the homeless only on Christmas, it makes me feel good about myself for a short period of time. :tongue2:

This is one time I totally agree with OCBW.

He has become far and away too presumptuous.
