So the man said what a lot of other people in that locker room say, he was just dumb enough to put it in email.

Was also a decade ago and it's incredibly possible, especially given his time spent with a now openly gay player, that he may have matured?
If his players believe their coach has no ill-intent or bad heart, then I tend to side with them.

I just see no value in what firing does for this situation. I'm not going to defend what Gruden said, only wondering at one point do we sense an honest apology and growth?

Question for legal people here, just because I’m curious…let’s say he didn’t resign and made the Raiders fire him, who said they did so “for cause”. Could he conceivably fight that because the statements were all made BEFORE he became the coach?
