So, the coach helped Frazier with an online class before he was even accepted by the university because they thought he would not be accepted based on his high school transcript. Then the transcript comes in and the online class was not needed and he was accepted for admission. Then his school district started an investigation into coaches and administrators changing grades that centered on him.

And he is currently ineligible, not because of the NCAA investigation, but because his grades are not good enough.

Does anyone see a pattern?

I never realized that Matta talked quite a bit to Brown about basketball and really values his opinion about basketball..

Three year probation. Brown suspended for 9 games. Loss of 9 scholarships over 3 years. Show cause for several, including Brown. Post-season ban.

Yes and yes

1) This marks the third time a Brown-coached program has been sanctioned by the NCAA, with the others being Kansas and UCLA.

2) It is SMU's 10th major infractions case, more than that of any other program.
