But these shenanigans aren't cheeky and fun, they're cruel and tragic. Which makes them...not shenanigans at all really.

Evil shenanigans.

Since everyone pretty much knows that Kiffin is going to get fired by Pat Haden sooner rather than later - where does Kiffin go next?

If I was on probation and needing to be squeaky clean - there is nobody I would rather have interacting with opposing rival coaches and masterminding recruiting in light of that interaction - than Lane F-in' Kiffin. As a new AD I know that I would dodge revenge tattling to the NCAA by virtue of Kiffin's good relations with high school, college and pro coaches - and that with Kiffin in charge, no corners would be cut in any ethical recruiting or NCAA bylaw practices.

Tread lightly, Gator. Given his unexplainable career trajectory, you're probably talking about the next head coach that the University of Florida.

Tennessee Titans sue Lane Kiffin, Southern Cal | tennessean.com | The Tennessean

The Titans on Monday filed a lawsuit against the University of Southern Cal and head coach Lane Kiffinfor “maliciously” interfering with the contract of running backs coach Kennedy Pola.

The lawsuit was filed in Davidson County Chancery Court and it claims Pola breached his contract with the Titans after being induced by Kiffin. Pola, hired by the Titans in January, was hired by USC over the weekend as the school’s new offensive coordinator.

The lawsuit states “as a result of USC and Kiffin’s tortuous conduct, Tennessee (Titans) football has been damaged in an amount proven at trial.’’

Titans officials declined comment on Monday. USC officials could not be reached for comment.

Is it wrong that for once in my life im siding with Kiffin/USC on something?

Pola wasn't dragged away from the Titans kicking and screaming, if Pola violated the terms of his contract by leaving then the Titans should seek damages from HIM. It isn't USC's problem that a coach wants to come there, heck following that logic Cincy would be suing Notre Dame and everything else. As far as "NFL Protocol" goes, why should USC give a shit about that? They aren't an NFL team (even if their payroll was similar to one for a few years there) and don't have any obligations to follow their protocol.

Another reason the Titans/Fisher aren't getting my sympathy, they just axed a RB coach that had done a fine job in his position (Chris Johnson was a monster last year) in order to hire Pola. Seems like Fisher's getting a dose of karma if you ask me
