Hey guys....

Remember the incessant media love-fest with USC and Pete Carroll and all the undercoverage of problems?

Ahh, yes... Good times... so long ago... good times.

Good times.

Rick Neuheisel said Chow told him he was staying at UCLA - Dan Patrick.com

Rick Neuheisel joined the show to talk about the situation with UCLA and USC.
Neuheisel said that his offensive coordinator Norm Chow told him he was staying and not going to USC.
"I spoke to Norm Chow 10 minutes ago and he said he's staying at UCLA," Neuheisel said.
Dan asked Neuheisel about reports Chow is interested in USC. Neuheisel said those are "sources" and we don't know exactly where it came from.
"I've got the best source ... Norm," Neuheisel said.
Neuheisel did say he wouldn't necessarily stand in anyone's way if money just got ridiculous.
Neuheisel said that he has no problems if USC recruits want to switch to UCLA. He said some recruits have contacted him.
"They're obviously fair game," Neuheisel said of USC recruits. "Just like our coaches have been fair game."
Neuheisel said Lane Kiffin may face some serious challenges at USC. "There's at least some measure of reason for concern," Neuheisel said. "When you have a meeting with the NCAA infactions committe, you stand up straight."

Forgive me for changing the thread title. The previous title resulted in the local firewall blocking this thread and labeling it "adult".

That was a good change - I've now added back in part of the old title.

Looks like it will be Troy Calhoun of Air Force.....
Air Force's Calhoun calls team meeting? GoVolsXtra
Still just speculation at this point. It's being said that the meeting could be about an asst. coach leaving for aTm.

That said, seems like it could be a decent hire. Calhoun would be the polar opposite of Kiffin (a very good thing) and GT has had success poaching a service academy.

Apparently Greenspan has no idea what comeuppance looks like. If Lane Kiffin ever stays in one place long enough he might finally get to see it. Also, he apparently doesn't know how to count or doesn't know what National Championships look like either.

They still adamantly claim a National Championship in 2004

If he wasn't such a douchebag in every other aspect of life, I wouldn't really have a problem with him leaving Tenn after one year. That is probably his dream job and nobody thought it would be open this soon.....and who knows when it will be available again. If that was his only discretion, I'd have no problem with him.

I agree. Hypothetically, if one of OSU's staff members.. we'll go with Hazell since he was the first dude to pop into my head.. decided to go coach at MSU or something and then JT retired the next year, I would have no problems with Hazell coming back after a year. A dream job is a dream job. I don't blame Kiffin for taking the USC job.

But, Kiffin is a huge douche. So this is funny.

I have no problem with this, the crystal football is over at LSU, but if the same thing happened to us, we got the AP and someone else got the BCS, I would be adding that to our collection of national titles, as would most fans here.

I agree 100%. Lots of people like to disparage USC's claim to the AP title, but if happened here, we'd do the same thing.
