Monday the Lady Bucks will travel to take on the Lady Illini in Champaign .
This game will be broadcast on the BTN.
Our Ladies play a fast powerful BB game and are exciting to watch.

I find it funny that the rest of the big ten is trying to slow things down against us...The same way we used to play against some of the better teams in the country...

Stokes could be cleared to play soon as well...Not sure how much of an impact that will make, but one more wing player is not going to hurt us, especially one as athletic as her...

I am finally enjoying their style of play this season and hopefully they will continue to run run run. Sammy really likes to get out and push the ball. Maybe she could help out the men's team:) They are having bad television timing:( going up against 24.

I am loving Starr Allen she has truly stepped up her game:)!!! I can't see losing a game in the Big Ten with Lavender, Allen & Prahalis ~ We're on our way to play deep into the NCAA tournament. Am I jumping ahead to soon:biggrin:!!!!

I agree , gbasketball, these 3 are our leaders and with experience we will go very deep into the tourney.
I can't recall the name but the shooting guard started hits her shots pretty good too. She was big in the second half surge where we pulled away. We need for some others to step up more and we will be very good.

Trebilcock started off a little slowly, but then started hitting her shots in the second half. She needs to be on for this team to go deep in the NCAA Tourney imo.

Brittany Johnson lit it up from behind the arc in the 2nd half (4 for 5 I think) and she's only a Soph I believe.

This team has lots of young talent. And it's crazy to think, but as good as they could be this year...I think they're going to be truly elite the next two seasons after this one.

Women's basketball: Buckeyes get out and run right by Illini

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- A season ago, the Illinois women's basketball team posed some physical questions to Ohio State in three Big Ten games that left the Buckeyes out of breath and speechless.

For a while last night in Assembly Hall, the Illini appeared to be pushing conference-leading Ohio State in the direction of a third consecutive loss in the series.

Then the 15th-ranked Buckeyes (14-2, 5-0) introduced their new, more athletic selves to Illinois (4-12, 0-6) and all thoughts of an upset vanished during a 67-35 rout.

Ohio State crushed the Illini in the second half with a blistering performance that displayed weapons that really didn't exist a year ago.
"We're just a new team," sophomore center Jantel Lavender said. "We just have a whole different look this year. We just came in to play how we play this year. Last year was last year. We're a different team, I think."
