LA: If we built it, someone will come

Apparently build first, ask questions (and find a team) later. For years, speculation was the Vikings would be moving, but they seem to be SB contenders now and have the league's best offensive player (arguably). Jacksonville maybe?

Until the Saints became halfway decent - the odds on pick was NoLa.

It was no secret that the owner wanted a new stadium and was shopping the team around. Damages to the dome following the Hurricane improved things a little. I think you'd be hearing their name mentioned quite a bit if a Superbowl wasn't already promised in the rejuvination efforts.

I don't think Skeletor can move his team this time, as the article made it sound like building the stadium was contingent on not uprooting any of the 3 current California teams.

Not like moving the current Raiders to L.A. would really excite anyone down here (Jay Richardson notwithstanding, of course). Well.... on second thought, seeing how the proposed stadium way the hell out in the City of Industry, they may reach the same time of "fans" you get in Oakland who haven't let a run of miserable seasons stop them from getting super drunk in the stadium, smoking weed in the stadium bathrooms, fighting fans of the other teams, fighting each other, fighting the cops............
