Sure it's a loss, but how many 5* high school OT's actually translate that
to equal success in college? I'll guess that in the last 10 years that number is very small.

Have fun at TTUN.

I was just wondering if our OTs' will be more like oversized guards in the years to come. Not small mind you but maybe swifter of foot than a normal OT.
I think what the two posts after yours were alluding to is that you are mistaken if you think that OG's are generally more nimble than OT's. The reverse is pretty much always true. Natural guards playing at tackle have a very difficult time staying in front of speed-rush ends, as we've unfortunately witnessed more than once.

I didn't mean that we weren't recruiting tackles anymore..nor did I mean to imply we were looking for guards exclusively..I was just wondering if the size at tackle will end up getting smaller instead of staying the same.

What he is saying is..

You made a post about guards being quicker/more athletic than a tackle..

This is wrong.

If they were wearing thick socks, would this make them taller and more durable?

Chris Carter Jr projects as a guard because he's 370lbs. Reid Fragel might project has a tackle because he's 270lbs and nimble. That's why you see TEs sometime transition to tackle.
