Allen would fit what Nebraska is doing on offense nicely.
But he has "baggage". He might be a clubhouse cancer.

I think you're thinking of the other TAMU transfer QB, Kyler Murray. Kyle Allen doesn't seem to have that baggage, just the injury-related problems from Sumlin and staff.

So what's the concensus with Allen? Good egg or no?

It would be nice if it did, but I suspect all it means is that Allen is a Cougar.

Just how is this a swing and a miss? Houston was the smart choice. Much closer to home with a staff that can develop/implement QBs. Don't be surprised if how we futzed up the QB situation this came was in his mind when he made the decision...

“I think the culture was a big part of it, and I think that stems from Johnny's era there -- the way that they let Johnny and [others] act there,” said Allen, the No. 1-rated pro-style quarterback in the 247Sports Composite for 2014. “They [could] do that and still win games because they had Johnny … and five offensive linemen playing in the NFL right now.”

Allen added: “A lot of people were riding off that, ‘I can do whatever the hell I want and win on Saturday.'"
