Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
Surely you can't be serious about the coaching. Please tell me that you just slipped that one in there to see if anyone read your post. And if you were serious....paint chips or dropped on your head?
Really. That's the one you picked. The biggest flaw in his statement was comparing an education at the ohio state university to kentucky.
C'mon man...you guys have to look at the big picture here from Damien Harris' standpoint.
Yeah, overall the coaching staff is better at Ohio State; and Urban is a much better recruiter and game day coach, etc. Also, even though the running back isn't the only primary offensive position in Urban's system, playing in Urban's offense didn't hurt Carlos Hyde's chances of playing in the NFL either. But if Harris accepts the fact that he doesn't care if Kentucky is a perennial "bottom feeder" in the SEC, that doesn't matter. How important is a "game plan" and or "half time adjustments" when you are trailing 35-3 at the half? Kentucky is a basketball state; and they just don't have that may 5-star football Div1A prospects. Stoops isn't going to get very many Div1A 5-star prospects from other states either, so being a good recruiter is not an issue either. With that being said, Mark Stoops isn't "chopped liver" as a coach; I do believe that he is a good coach and has a good staff. He'll undoubtedly be willing to adapt his offense to showcase Harris' talent. If that's what Harris wants then the UK coaching staff fully meets his needs.....therefore it's a TIE.
Maybe overall Ohio State is ranked ahead of UK in many academic areas/fields; however, if he chooses a meaningful major (not like General Studies at scUM) I believe that an undergraduate degree from either school would fully meet his personal needs/ambitions, i.e. it is tossup or TIE. UK is the flagship university in the state (or commonwealth) of Kentucky and for his purposes an undergraduate degree from UK may be even be better if he plans to work in Kentucky for his career after football. Let's face it, when you go to a company/person for professional services (where the person needed a degree) do you really check and/or care where he/she got their degree? Or would you automatically not consider or refuse services from a dentist that you found out graduated from UK Dental School? I don't think so.
