I try to avoid Wal-Mart as much as possible. First of all, they contribute BIGTIME to the outsourcing of American jobs. Second of all, is I don't care to be among their clientele. I was in there a few weeks ago trying to send a MoneyGram, and some stupid bitch in front of me returned four suitcases. The clerk scanned them and totalled her out, and the dumb broad said, "Wait, there's stuff in those suitcases, too." There were three suitcases full of socks, watches, shoes, and cleaning supplies. The fourth one was completely full of Halloween candy. Who in the fuck tries to return Halloween candy! Are these the same people who try to put meat on layaway?!

I work for wal-mart.
 = Wal-Mart a.k.a. the evil empire

And you Huber Heights folks can probably appreciate my disgust for the new Wal-Mart on Brandt Pike. That area was already sort of a clusterfuck, and now it's just a mess of minivans and SUVs and Oldsmobiles with spoilers and spinner hubcaps. And now on top of the hilljack magnet that is Super Wal-Mart, there's highway construction there too! I regret more and more each day not moving to Fairborn or Beavercreek.

At the wally world I work at down here, they have to make an announcment every couple of nights...

"Attention wal-mart customers, we reccomend that you wear shoes while shopping at wal-mart, for safety reasons."

I thought someone was kidding. But, no, I see several bare-footed customers weekly. :(

The Dispatch ran an article before Big Bear went out of business comparing prices on a fairly robust shopping cart full of groceres between BB, Krogers, WalMart and Meijers. The savings at WalMart and Meijers was substantial. Like 20% or so - and that was across the board on a wide variety of items.

I remember reading that article. If I remember, they only compared brand name items. For items like Oreos, Lays Potato Chips, etc. Meijer and Walmart were much, much lower. I think a tray of Oreos was about $3.50 at Big Bear, Kroger, and Giant Eagle versus $2.25 at Walmart and Meijer. As far as generic products, they all seem to be about the same.

For generic brand, nothing gets much cheaper than Aldi's. We do almost all of our staple-shopping there instead of one of the stores with 18 billion different SKU's. You won't find name brand products, but veggies are veggies, milk is milk, and bread is bread.

I go to Giant Eagle at all cost. Marc's (don't know if you have those down there) has cheep food that I'll stock up on once every other month or so. Their selection is pretty iffy most of the time.

Yes Marc's is a great store to shop at, just don't buy their meat. Also look at the exp. dates on food. I got a bag of chips there once and they exp. by like 4 months.

At 10:40? That's really early for lunch. You might want to eat lunch rather than spend your time on the Interent if you want to be a football player.

I know the lunch is really early.

There are 2 periods, 4th per. lunch(what i have) and 6th per. lunch.

4th starts at 10:06 AM and 6th starts at 11:51 AM

The reason they don't have them later in the day is because they are scared that if they have them say at 6th and 7th, kids will just leave for lunch and simply not come back for their last class.

As for me eating my lunch, I already have ate.

I pretty much only go to Giant Eagle, there prices seem to be a little more reasonable. I know overall wal-mart is cheaper but it is worth the little bit extra not to deal with the people at wal-mart. Like someone else said most people you run into shopping there are crazy. I was walking down any isle one day there and this little girl wasn't paying attention and ran into My cart, even after I tried to avoid her. The mother started screaming and yelling about her kid and she was going to sue blah blah blah. So I would much rather go to GE and not deal with the nut jobs
