Still had so much more to give in this world. His transition to being a dad and finally being able to spend time with his daughters/coach them was cool to see.

He was the bridge between my youngest memories of Jordan/Reggie/Ewing then into the LeBron era.
He was the NBA for a whole generation. Woven into so much of the game.
Now more reports that his daughter Gigi was on board.

Walter Payton was 45, probably same level, although fame in the digital global age is a different animal. Pete Maravich, Thurman Munson, also come to mind. All of these instance are tragic for so many reasons.
