Ghost of Clarett Lingers on....

Google Maps says it's 146 miles away. Two hours and 38 minutes from the concrete horseshoe he unfortunately got to call home for one magical season. The walls of the Toledo Correctional Institution might hold Maurice Clarett after being caught with several guns and an open bottle of vodka, but his actions still haunt Columbus.

Still sad to think what he had in front of him if he would of did things a lot different. He's always will be one of my favorite players for the short time he gave us. I always felt the kid made some very stupid decisions on the draft and the car situation. I never felt like most and just said f the kid. Hated the decisions he made after his only year, but how great would it be if he at least came back and got his degree from tOSU. Pretty sure he would probably get some boo's, but at least we could see he was trying to get his life together after jail. Forgot the sad tale of wasted talent and hope he gets life back together one day as a man. Despite what he did, he always be a Buckeye to me.:osu2: Anybody know when he could possibly be getting out also?

The fork in the road for MoC came long before the car and NFL choices. MoC had serious issues and they were known before he ever came to OSU. Sorting out whose fault his problems were is beyond the scope of this board.

My feelings towards him will always be the toughest for me to sort out of all the Buckeyes - something akin to your own child gone bad. We don't win the 2002 NC without him. But he is not a good human getting an OSU degree would not have made him a good human being.

He was a self-centered screw-up. No need to feel sorry for him. He's getting what he deserved. Even his time on the football team at tOSU was marred by his sociopathic personality.

Sad? Sorry don't feel one ounce of sympathy for him. He got what he deserved.

Save your sorrow for the person he robbed at gunpoint.

Or the witnesses against him whose house he was arrested blocks away from with a cache of weapons, a bullet-proof vest and booze.

Please explain.

The SUV was then seen making a U-turn along the interstate. Officers placed stop-sticks on the road, but the SUV continued driving and exited along Brice Road.

Despite a flat tire, the vehicle then struck a police cruiser in a the parking lot of a Tee Jaye's Country Place restaurant, located at 2435 Brice Rd., where Clarett was taken into custody.

"I saw the car come over here in the Tee Jaye's lot and actually bump into the cruiser," said a witness who requested anonymity. "He didn't want to stop."

I do not see what the big deal is...

The SUV did it all not Mr. Clarett.

Maurice Clarett

After all he has done for the Ohio State program I feel that... I have an obligation to help him out. He lives near me in the Toledo Correctional Facility. Hopefully I can get him to listen to me Ill probably take a chance and visit him. Maybe if I could get him to attend a speed camp in the area and pay for a place for him to stay.. he can get back track on football. I know its probably not likely going to happen but it sucks kind of and it hurts being an :osu: fan and seeing Clarett in this situation. I know he did it to himself but I can't stand it that nobody has offered a hand to help him in the state of Ohio. Hopefully I or somebody else can get him back into his career(football) he still has as shot at the NFL or other leagues if he works his ass off, But can he still attend college if he can i believe he can try out for the draft if plausible and finish up three more years of NCAA football. Maybe Tom Amstutz, or somone in the Toledo/Bowling Green area can lend a hand. I know this post sounds desperate but it's really sad to see what has happened to him.
