Kids, do not huff gas...or else

I tend to fall into the "he made his own bed" camp. He had more than enough chances, and I have little interest in discussing it further.

But I agree that we all need watch that youtube video. I really forgot the kind of badass he was. As a freshman. Damn. DAMN!!!

As much as I think Beanie is a man among boys, even he could stand to watch and learn from this video.

I'm pissed about two things one Clarett according to AaronjesusbuckNV whatever, is the only reason we won the title in 02. Who was the leading rusher in the Championship game, Did Clarett start all 14 games that year? Secondly, here we are two pages for Clarett and guess what this thread is now longer than Bobby Hoying's seriously we don't talk about him enough

Fuck Maurice Clarett.

He may have been a big part of our 2002 NC run in 2002, but what that fucking traitor did should never be forgiven nor forgotten.

Hrm... Interesting interaction here, first off, I wonder why the OP would want to go talk to MoC? What do you expect him to say? "God, I wish I had never tried to fuck over the school that did everything they could to take me out of the ghetto?"

Let's look at three things here:

1) He was and is a Buckeye, but that doesn't change what he did when he left, he fucked up and lied to the authorities, and when he found out he wasn't bigger than life, he tried to throw up a smoke screen in hopes to blame someone else for everything that was wrong.

2) He was a Bronco, but he couldn't control his drinking and fucked that as well. No one forced vodka down his throat, he got his chance, he blew it, he thought he was so gifted he didn't need to try, he was MoC and that was good enough, reality hit.

3) He is a criminal, he fucked a lot of people over, panicked and instead of looking at other avenues for success, he, instead, went down a dark path.

Trust me, there are people on here that truly feel for the guy, hell, I think he's one of the saddest stories I have ever heard. A guy with that much potential that just threw it all away. I really hope he learns his lesson and keeps in shape, comes out and goes to AFL or CFL and does something with all that potential. But as for him being welcome back at Ohio State, will never happen, the university finally got our football program moving in the right direction and he tried to destroy that, and me, much like most fans, will never forgive him for that.

I don't want to keep this discussion going any longer than now. He is history and so is all the damage he tried to do.

I also don't want to call anyone out, soI say this with the greatest of respect to everyone, but I really need to put this down in this thread, before it gets merged into his thread.

Putting on a Buckeye jersey doesn't make someone a Buckeye. Playing in a game wearing that jersey, doesn't make someone a Buckeye. There are lots of players on that team who never see the field and they have more of what it is to be a Buckeye in their little fingers than Clarett ever did.

Clarett came to Ohio State only as a stepping stone to the NFL. Even if he did start out in the weight room calling out his fellow players and provide some team motivation, I don't think he was ever a Buckeye. A Buckeye doesn't throw his jersey away on the cover of SI. He doesn't stand aloof when the team wins a NC. He doesn't try to destroy the team.

I have great difficulty even merging this into the Alumni folder. I don't hate Clarett. As far as I am concerned, I hope he does straighten out his life. I hope he avoids a life as a never do well, substance abused crazed, dropout. But, it's time that "Mommy, where's my money?" learned to help himself because this part of the Buckeye nation ain't got no sympathy.
