I'd rather be napping!!
Let me start this out by saying......

Wal Mart is a bunch of communist fuckers!!!!!

I was there yesterday, my youngest son Nik lost his cap gun (chrome six shooter standard issue sheriffs set with the holsters and badge and junk...)

They don't sell cap guns at walmart?!?!?!?!?

you can buy blasters (Star Wars, Swords, Russian's military kits (in miniature), guns and rifles galore..... but no cap guns?).

I had promised him that I would stop, and get him some new "shooters" because I had bought a crap load of new caps (big lots, 2500 for $0.50 and about 10 packages) He was due to be in hog heaven for at least a day or two.

Now, I said all that to say this. Since WalMart is a bunch of no cap gun selling communist's. I decided to go to sporting goods, they always have a bunch of good shit on the clearance racks over there (plus I needed to get my older son an extra set of baseball pants so mom wasn't a laundry fool once the season started).

They have this "Swiss Gear" (Swiss army knife company) tent on clearance, marked down to $59 from $97.... 10x16, 3 room.... I am thinking.... pretty good deal.... I break down and buy it. I haven't owned a tent since high school. So I get it home, and the kids started their spring break yesterday (why on Friday I have no idea). To appease their wanting to spend the night at a Friends house or have someone over to spend the night at ours (which wasn't going to happen since we had to work today)... I talked them into going camping. Last night we grilled out, caught bugs, and Dad (since it was supposed to rain) set the tent up in the basement........ Now, 10x16, isn't huge, but neither is my basement. This required complete furniture re-arrangement (I think the wife is still pissed that the tent is blocking the TV). We have not had that kind of fun in a while without leaving the house, we had sleeping bags, flashlights, and the whole nine, in a tent, in the basement....

Well, I am wiped out, kids don't like to go to sleep early when they have flashlights..... :( so I am probably rambling a bit. I will quit, I just thought that I would share my basement camping thing in case on some rainy day someone else wanted to keep their kids happy... pretending.

I never shop Wal-Mart unless there is no other option. Not because of their corporate philosophy, but because I can never find what I want, there is never anyone there to help you, and I do not like to spend an eternity in the one check-out aisle that is open in the whole damn store.

The tent in the basement sounds cool.

My brother lived in a tent in the basement for a year or two when we were kids, and, yes, he did it of his own volition.

Ahh the old tent in the basement trick. We use that one whenever we want a night of sleep with no interuptions. The kids have a two man tent, they set it up in front of the TV in the basement, watch movies till they crash and we don't see them till morning.

Next time don't stay in the tent with them. :wink2:
