Ah, that music, that oh, oh,oh,oh,oh stuff... not just Penn State, Purdue used it during kickffs last year and since I stopped listening to Rock music when the Eagles disbanded I didn't know.... BUT the point remains, why when you have TBDBITL do you need canned music?
To keep the Blue Band from playing I understand and so it makes sense for Penn State, that and the fact that they've got the shittiest fight song(s) in the Big 10, but for OSU with TBDBITL, with Across the Field and Buckeye Battlecry, with Sloopy, and Neutron Dance why does OSU need canned music?

I hate hate HATE some of the changes they're doing at the stadium this year. The new team entrance with the band is fine. Thats original and something different.
Playing the white stripes at kick off is lame and ripping-off tons of other programs (Penn State being the most obvious). Go back to AC/DC.
The other new addition I despise is the "That's another Buckeye..... " and the crowd responds "First Down!". TOOOONs of other schools do this, and thats fine for them, but don't add it to Ohio State's tradition just because it's a cool thing to do. I really hope this goes away because it angers me every time I hear it.

The "That's a Buckeye..." first down crap got REALLY annoying when trailing friggin OU in the second half. As for the kickoff music all I can say is at least it's not Crazy Train.
I dunno...somehow when I was a student we managed to enjoy the games without kickoff music, or some tool on the PA system telling us how to do the O-H-I-O cheer.
The changes seem pretty bush league to me.

I remember back when Mike Nugent would kick off they would play Stranglehold by Ted Nugent. I was younger so I thought they might have a theme with the kickoffs starting then but apparently not...
