Kentucky BB Head Coach Position

The story states that Henry will likely choose between Kentucky and Kansas. I'm not surprised that Memphis let him out of his LOI but I'm surpised that they would let him have the option of following Calipari. Or am I mistaken in thinking that a school can place that type of restriction when releasing a recruit from their LOI?
Henry had a clause in his letter with Memphis saying that if Johnny left that he would be let out of his LOI and would be able to reopen his recruitment.

I have recently read that North Carolina is starting to get involved with John Wall and it might be a while before he decides.

Regarding Cousins and Orton, it really doesn't matter if they both go to Kentucky because they will both be one and done players anyhow. Sure they will make the NCAA tournament during their freshman year but they certainly will not win it all.

Orton just re-opened his recruiting today, I'll bet he winds up at OK ST., Oklahoma doesn't have any schollies left, and already signed two highly touted 5's for their class.
UNC could still be really good next year if Wall comes aboard-and really might be his only option, b/c Kansas only has room for Henry, Kentucky-who knows, and I just can't see him as a Dookie-even though that would be his best option-Coach K is desperate for a quality PG next year, it is all he really needs to have a serious NC contender.

I saw the Oklahoma recruit, Gallon, and if Orton and Cousins can't fit on the same floor there is no way he Cousins and Gallon would fit on the same floor. I think Wall is down to Duke, North Carolina, and Kentucky. It will be interesting to see if Johnny can sway him to Kentucky when his mother would like for him to stay closer to home.

If this charge sticks, the NCAA avoided a big mess (possibly having to strip a title) when Mario Chalmers sent that championship game into OT last year. It's easier to strip a Final 4 appearance (as we know).

If Calipari had knowledge of SAT fraud, he should be banned from the NCAA for 5-10 years.

According to the article linked above from the Dispatch, the NCAA was looking into Memphis in January and Kentucky knew about the investigation but the NCAA told them that Johnny C. was not involved so I doubt if Kentucky or Johnny C. will see any fall back from these violations.

The problem with Sampson/Indiana was that Sampson committed almost the same violations that put his former Oklahoma program on probation and Indiana still hired him.

Posters note: very arid for me to believe that Johnny C:!. did not know what was going on at Memphis because he is in total control when he takes over a basketball program.

It is difficult to believe that if there was knowledge at Memphis about fraud for a star incoming player that Calipari wouldn't know about it. I guess we can hope that somebody at Memphis will be ticked off that their program will be getting blasted by the NCAA while Calipari has moved on and gotten a fat contract at Kentucky, and will rat him out.

Kentucky will use the USC precedence clause as it's defense and get off scott free.

Not if someone from Memphis breaks ranks with Johnny C. and said that he did not tell the truth during his Kentucky interview when the allegations were already known but someone from Memphis is going to have to do that.

Actually, Kentucky did nothing wrong. This is all on Johnny C. If he lied doing the Kentucky interview how were they to know. They might slap Johnny C. and Kentucky with some minor violations but they will not hit Kentucky hard if Johnny C. lied to them.
